No Google Cloud? Use a Google Apps Script

Open script.google.com and start a New project.
Pick a version below, press Copy code, and paste it over everything in the file. Change SECRET to a word only you know (keep the quotes).
Only for the Classroom API version: press Services (+) on the left and add Google Classroom API. The Gmail version needs no service.
Deploy → New deployment → Web app. Execute as Me, who has access: Anyone. Allow the permissions.
Copy the Web app URL, add ?key= and your secret word at the end, and paste it here.

Or, with Google Cloud:

In Google Cloud Console, create a project and enable the Google Classroom API.
Create an OAuth client ID (type: Web application) and add this address under Authorized JavaScript origins:
Paste the client ID below and press Connect.
